The Ministry continues to develop and showcase the best of Education to the global audience, especially to our own local learners as reflected in all facets of its vision statement. This is a collective initiative by different divisions of MESC to further raise its profile in terms of strategic planning and maintaining professional standards for our qualified teachers and student achievements.
Moreover, most of the new publications are especially designed to support our teachers and students as well as the general public. Both volumes of the SNG, 9 & 10 consist of valuable collections of 40 myths and legends from respective villages of Upolu & Savaii, compiled to preserve and safeguard our Intangible Cultural Heritage. In addition, a new series of 11 Samoan readers for primary schools have also been published portraying three (3) different legends for Year 1, with the remaining storybooks for other levels being finalised for upcoming publications.
