Huddle up its scrum timeMagiagi Primary School rugby teams will be hitting the field in style the rest of the rugby season in new jerseys direct from the USA. On behalf of Ambassador Scott Brown, U.S. Embassy Apia Charge d’Affaires, Tony Greubel presented the new set of jerseys to the school principal, Katalaina Sia, and both the junior and senior boys’ rugby teams.

Ambassador Brown said that they were pleased to support youth development in Samoa. He also added that the opportunity to play sports meant a lot to him from primary level up to college, and he hoped that the rugby teams of Magiagi PS would have a great season.

With the colors green, white and black and the school crest engraved on the jersey, the teams were delighted to receive their new sportswear.  Mrs Katalaina Sia expressed her gratitude to the Embassy and to Ambassador Brown for their continuous assistance. She also encouraged the rugby players to live up to their school motto “Lototele e Finau.”

Magiagi PS has a total roll of 298 students with 11 teachers.
